Automatic box 31th of Stratus 98 published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, I have been a member of this magnificent forum for a long time but I had never posted something in it.

Well, I tell you my story, I am the owner of a Stratus 98 who began to fail the box, it all started with rare noises such as two metals collided and thus hard this as 1 month, until I started noticing that the car lost power and as at 10 days the reverse no longer entered, and the 2 or 3 days no longer entered any speed in a normal way, it had to accelerate as at 3 thousand rpm Slowly my car.

I made the decision to lower the box and when the same note is being made that the internal pump gear was in very poor condition, as well as the rear annular gear of the transmitting axle, as a solution to this replacement with pieces in good condition.

I just need to disarm the valve body and see how everything is inside. I am already sure that what is already disarming is already in perfect condition.

My only problem is:

my box I don't see solenoids anywhere, I first thought it was an A604 (41te), but then I saw that it was a 404 (31th), but this box has a sensor that mine has no connector, which is the connector of the clutch solenoid of the converter that is just above the rod to measure oil.

My box really does not have solenoids?

I only see a body of valves and 2 external sensors, from there I don't see any more!

By the way in the Stratus from 96 to 2000 I can help you correctly put the time email, also guide how to repair a march, how to lower the gas tank and repair the pump, brake change, if the camshaft and crankshaft sensor fails them, if someone has any of these failures with pleasure, I will help them, since they are problems that already solve successfully in my car.

Thanks for your time!

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Automatic Box 31th Stratus 98
Hello, I tell you that if I manage to repeat my automatic box (automatic transmission), I tell you how it was:

I just needed to uncover the body of valves to see if I was fine, when opening it, I did it on the wrong side and all the balines went to the ground. I was calmly rearming everything, luckily I found the complete manual of the box where the place of the balines shows.

As advice and I think it is more to say it, use torque to give the indicated adjustment to the screws, if the pieces are squeezed, the pieces are damaged and also if they are not tight enough.

Keep in mind that in order to climb the box again, you have to loosen the K -support screws, so that it descends a bit to allow the differential part to enter into its place.

By the way my box is without selenoids.

Salu2
