I have an Opel Vectra 1.6 and lose oil in the piece that is in the bar of the assisted direction where all the tubes are threaded. The oil bottle is low but not empty and when the steering wheel moves the pump sends pressure since there is assisted direction and two of the tubes move by oil pressure. I have cleaned the piece to observe the escape and nothing can be seen, it seems that it is below. Before going to the mechanical slaughterhouse I expect your gentle opinions of what should be done. Thanks: Dry:
The piece where the axis of the steering column that carries a lot of tubes is called orbitrol or distributing valve and all you can do is relear all the corners to see if you were lucky and be for some thread.
In the case of having the orbitrol retainer broken or spent by the use, you will touch you to change the direction for a repaired or drain since very few workshops open them to repair them.
