Alternator check. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello good. Would anyone be able to tell me how can I check if my alternator loads properly? Where do I put the extremes of the author? What measurement should give? The ahead in volts and does it continue true?

Thanks again.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: alternator check.
Yes, the volumetry in volts and in continuous, on a scale of 0 to 20V and to check it you just have to do two things.

1º Measure the battery voltage before starting, (around 12.2 or 12.4)

2nd put the contact and look if the loading witness is turned on, start the engine and if it turns off is that it works,

to see the load voltage of the alternator, you just have to put the tips of the drums on the battery with the engine running, the voltage must be around 13.8 to 14.4v.

All the best.
