Excessive gasoline consumption published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello,
someone who can give me their opinion regarding the problem I have with my venture 97, ma fails the gasoline pump and changed it and for a week it worked well, then a failure begins that when accelerating the revolutions they are variable, low and then they go up, on the board I do not mark any fault, I recommended me change the MAP sensor of coincidence I had a new one and it is installed. But if the scan comes out even if the check does not appear?

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic excessive consumption of gasoline
Good night friend your case is very typical when the temperature sensor fails, we know that this sensor out of sending the temperature signal also a signal to the computer for the opening signal of gasoline injectors producing excessive fuel consumption, I recommend that you lower the temperature pear and clean it first that everything and the test reilates to diagnose the state of the pear. A test that you can do is as follows with a multimeter, a dryer that the ladies use to comb or if you have the hot air gun and an atomizer with water. The greater the resistance in this case the lower heat is the measure in the multimeter and in lower resistance higher temperature. We place the multimeter tips in the temperature knob terminals and with the dryer we sign up for the knob where the capsule is to heat it as it is heating is lowering the multimeter measurement cannot go down in jumps or stopping drinking from lowering on a precise scale for eg; from 50 drops to 49, 48, 47, 46, and so on and the same when throwing water to cool it must also climb in a scale in the same way as under silo makes on sauteed scales either when climbing or going down when it is indicating that the pear does not work. This produces a bad signal to the computer and the injection system will not work properly producing a premature engine premature for excess fuel in the injection system and generating anomalies in the revolution system which is known by the name of oscillations that is, the revolutions rise and lower producing premature engine paid. Friend if my information is useful to give me a message to my email I will be pending to help you friend.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic excessive consumption of gasoline
Thank you very much for your comment Jairo Gomez, check the temperature sensor and behaved well, just as you described it with an increase in one and I assumed that it was fine, the oxygen sensor and the IAC that was damaged, now it does not remain serene in N, but when launching it, it feels like it, it feels and battle Even if I don't mark anything on the board.
Greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic excessive consumption of gasoline
Hello, you have changed the gasoline pump and you have gone to the sensors that can increase consumption, such as refrigerant temperature probe, additional air, oxygen probes, and air temperature, sensors that give no more symptoms than excess consumption, and of course a temperature increase. I suppose that you will have verified the hydraulic circuit by measuring pressures and flows, in addition to the staging state of the injectors.
All the best

Hello colleagues, I agree with Jairo, I have had that problem and several vehicles of diffent brands with the temperature sensor, I need to ask you a question that is fundamental and always presents when said sensor is bothering, when the engine is cold, I mean when you start it for the first time in the morning immediately? The engine drowns in fuel and is definitely the temperature sensor, I can recommend that you use and make a small trick, before buying the sensor: you baffle the sensor and in the terminals or connector legs (plug), you put a resistance that is red, red, red without impotenting the colr of the ends, that deceives the computer made it believe that the engine is already in temperature of the function. Determine measuring the resistance of the new sensor being heated in water.
