Renault Twingo 2000 Base published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, I am new here, and I have told you that my car for a few months and in some occasions it does not start, that is, the engine always revolves, and there to the third or fourth or fifth time recently starts. Sometimes when standing regulating he stops. Change the battery, spark plugs and gasoline filter.
The last thing I did was clean each plug in the engine and that I improve only for fifteen days.
Now the problem persists, takes it to the mechanic and tells me that it is a gearbox sensor.
Does anyone know what can be?
Thank you

Very surely the problem that your twingo has is the upper dead knit sensor or as the PMS collector is known in the Renault network. It is located on the left side of the engine in the housing of the speed box, and its function is to sensing the motor revolutions. If, due to some circumstance, this sensor does not send the signal to the injection computer, the latter assumes that the vehicle is off and automatically takes away the feeding to a relay that activates the gasoline pump and the ignition coil. This signal insulation is generally caused by accumulation of dirt in the connector. To solve this definitely it is best to disassemble the sensor, clean it very well and weld the wiring terminals directly to the sensor.

Try it and tell me how it went ......
