Someone who info me from Clutch Jetta. Posted by manual-mecanica
I just acquired a GLI 1.8 Turbo year 2004 and there are some people who tell me to be careful with the use and maintenance of the clutch, because a new clutch of that car comes out in good money !! Since it is purchased with everything and the complete bollante (almost $ 10 thousand Mexican pesos). Alguein knows anything about this? Thank you very much and I will appreciate your comments and suggestions :(

Hello, regarding your consultation, I tell you that the clutch system of your vehicle has a bima wheel, that is, it has two main parts, which are in charge of softening the transfer of movement from the engine to the speed box, the clutch disc does not have springs such as those used in other vehicle models and the press is a bit more similar to the common ones. Therefore the people who recommend taking care of the clutch or clutch of your vehicle are correct due to their high cost.

As a recommendation, try not to step on the clutch pedal more than what is necessary to pass the march and do not leave the foot on the pedal resting on it, the other is not to go abruptly making strong skates or accelerations.

I hope your help is your help.

Dear friend, in truth that I could not receive a more successful and professional response than yours, I understood the perfect and I appreciate a lot that you have attached a photo of the system, it was a great detail of you. I am very happy with my new car because I really feel almost like an Audi haha, but I was scared with the data they gave me about the price of the clutch. Anyway, I will be careful to step on what is necessary. And please help me with a last doubt ... and my doubt arises in part because of the logo you have in your photo, and I see that some parts of my jetta have the Audi logo. My question is, when the Wolkswagen and Audi relates? Thank you!!

Hello, together with thanking your comment, I tell you that Volkswagen is not only a brand, but it is part of a group that consists of nine brands from seven European countries: Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Volkswagen commercial vehicles, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Scania, each one works independently since manufacturing platforms are quite similar and their components are supplied by common suppliers. For this reason you will find the emblems of the two oldest brands of the group, VW and Audi, in most components of your car and several more (Skoda, Seat, etc.)

For more information I recommend visiting the following links:

Waiting for you to be very good and if you have doubts, contact me.

Greetings.
