I write to you with a consultation, maybe someone has a Nissan Sentra on without platinum. I took the car to the mechanic and told me that what was bad my car was the distributor, I bought another identical with electrçonic ignition. ëste has two teeth for food from the coil. My query is the following>:
I already installed an electronic distributor in Nissan Sentra Carburado, I have everything ready, except for a little thing: the connection from the coil has 2 “teeth” one for positive and the other for negative, they are put as staggered, one is closer to the perimeter and the other a little more inside of the centrifuge. What is + and which one -. I do not have any device to test the polarity (Tester) and I only need to connect these 2 cables to try it but I do not want to do it until I am sure of polarity.

If I connect it with the inverted polarity, can I burn the module or any component or are they protected against these shorts?

If the problem is polarity, it is a matter of fixing which of the pins that mentions is grounded, somewhere the negative connector should be connected, to the mass of the alternator's body, if you do not have tester or test lamp, you will have to use this method, now if you connect it to the reverse, it is most likely to cause damage, there is a little orthodocs Some cable to positive or negative of Vatera and you are looking for the cable with any of the pins if it does not go ahy, I do not recommend it but it is a form, as the cut produced is so low, in time it does not cause damage since the cable is the most weak part.
