Ford Focus fault posted by Manual-Mecanica
Hello. I have a Ford Focus bought new in December 2006 (with this models I do not remember, because it was the new 2007, but then it is seen that it is the 2002 model, or I do not know what).

It is gasoline, 1600, 110 hp (or 100, which I think there are 100, but then they tell me that it does not exist, which is 110), almost 105,000km. In the end. I explain my breakdown, to see if someone can give me an idea of, more than anything, how much pasta will cost me.

I use it almost every day, it works well, I did a review in a workshop (not Ford, which I take from the end of the Ford guarantee), and all perfect. I leave it on Sunday at the garage, I enter Monday to go to work and ...

I put the key in the contact, the medium (so that "hot" and that [they told me that it is only in the diesel that you have to wait, but just in case, I always hope]) and without having started it:

(I am separating so that it is easier to read), the air is turned on Of the times I turn it off before parking), something weird: I turn on the crossroads, being the switch (the wheel) in "turned off", the white on the blank aboard computer (well, orange), the LED that blinks when you turn it off, then ...

blink followed) and stops (5 seconds) and does not start.

The spark plugs will change them two months in the Ford (the computer said "motor failure" and ... that ... I better go to the Ford to see the code that is).

I have not changed the belt (or chain, I do not know what it carries) of distribution, but in the Ford, when I changed the spark plugs, they told me not to worry, that up to 120,000, nothing (although it was going to change it shortly, just in case).

If I remove the handbrake and push the car, move as always (you have to do the same force as always, I mean).

And ... that, that I do not know what it can be, to see if anyone knows, with the fact that the crossroads are felt while the roulette in "off" and the air conditioning ...

They have told me (the friends) that the alternator can be, the battery (although the lights go and does not mark the battery failure LED), the starter engine, the distribution strap (although it does not make the noise of a broken strap with a broken strap) switchboard

Anyway, to see if you can give me hope.

Thank you so much.

PD: In the review, he failed a crossing light and they told me that they charged me 50 euros for changing it (in another workshop I saw how it was changed, that it was not necessary to lift the car as they had told me), 30 for aligning the headlights and the uncle told me “it is also convenient to reset the switchboard, that they do not give failures and ... as they were 30 euros more and they had never done it, because I also wanted to of oil * and the change of the lamp came out for 300 eurazos almost), because

I

As?
In case you ask, the engine neither rotates nor starts. At the time of contacting (at all, to start), that you are usually "half second" squeezing with the key (until it starts), those "taps" are heard, but I already say, which is as if it were a relay (which I do not say that it is a relay, that I do not know, but that sounds the same, or as if you took a ball and gave blows in a row on the table, or with a finger).

And soon after (put 10-15 taps), stop doing it and continue as at the beginning, without starting the engine or turning or anything (it does not go around).

I had a diesel and the heater failed him (or whatever they are called) and it is not that noise, as he wants to start and cannot. They are "taps" in a row.

B) Hello; In my opinion, the battery must be badly contact. Check and clean with bicarbonate the contacts of it and that's it. Luck : Dry:

And what surprises me is that the air conditioning is turned on, which is worth, the first time I may leave it (which I would bet), but I tried it from starting, broken, a couple more times, having turned off the air; And the lights, which being the roulette in the off, are listed.

Although well, I am also surprised that the screw does not say "such a thing" or, at least "something fails." What a boarding computer!;)
