Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic Help WW Pole 1.4 MPI 2001 60 CV
Hello, I see serves this engine (if it is the AEX, 1.4 60 hp) of the Seat Ibiza-Cordoba manual of the 97 that you have in the manual section. The change of the belt is very simple (there describes the marks of the pulleys) and the tensioner adjustment. Because of the "diesel" you surely have a bad hydraulic taulus ... it also sounds like coldly, but it does not affect the operation, as they tell you, do not worry too much, but if you want to change it, check what bad and change it, there in this manual comes information, if you are going to change your belt, take advantage before and change the taques and the taque and the tough That is good, greetings !!

Hi Ismael!

Thank you very much for the contribution! I understand what you tell me about the manual ... The motor code is Aud 1.4 60 hp If I'm not mistaken, this Seat Cordoba manual would serve the distribution diagram? If it is a hydraulic taque is difficult and cost the piece? And in the long run it does not know the camshaft? Another friendly colleague told me that either it was an injector that was not going well or a pulley tensioner. It sounds up to me by the cylinder head or is No. 1 or 2, I am a little lost is a sound that always bothers me to idle ... now on the road it is a ship the car but I suppose some failure would come out in the ECU. Forgive for so many questions and thank you very much in advance!

Greetings!!!

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic Help WW Pole 1.4 MPI 2001 60 CV
Hello again, this engine is mounted by several of the Vag Group (Ibiza, Lupo, Polo ..) is in Spanish, on page 19 comes the change of the belt, and if you want (I advise it) Cambo of the tree retain when changing the belt, its measures are 32x47x10 mm (retain oil).
The camshaft is not going to harm the taques, the price of one is over 50 Eur ... imagine changing the eight that carries ... change what is evil can be worth it whenever they do not begin to fail the rest ... that already, to your choice. (They are as you say, in the butt) in the manual describes you how to check them. I do not think it is an injector as they tell you (if it is true that they emit a sound, but it is the solenoid and it is normal, but it does not sound like "diesel"), the ECU does not detect the taque failure, it is a mechanical problem. Greetings!!

Hello very good!

The Seat Ibiza Cordoba 97 manual is a pass! It makes everything very clear ... I understand that it is exactly the same engine then both the AEX and the audience? With the tightening and everything. I think the same as that ugly sound I listen to it above in the cylinder head cover is not very exaggerated but it is the first gasoline car that looks like a diesel! I was also reading there that these cars do this noise in particular ... Saladito the price of a pusher but well the truth is worth it. I will listen to you with the tree oil retain ... I will also change the water pump in case the flies. Another thing that I listen is but I have the useful to work the crankshaft with a drill of 8 could be done ... now the question is where ??? I imagine that in a workshop all this you can leave a kidney as part of payment!

Thank you very much for everything, until I am sure I am not going to loosen a screw!

Greetings!!!

Hi Fedemots, the AUD is not the same as the AEX, this one that you carry is newer, the belt process is the same; It is not necessary to lock the crankshaft, if you remove the crankshaft plate, the marks in the pinion come, as in the camshaft, the tensioner's index is similar for the belt, the check of the taques is the same for one and the other engine. The only important one is that when you have mounted the belt, hand turns 2 turns the crankshaft to check the draft of the marks and the index Tensioner, has no more. The water pump would not exchange it if not "squeak" when turning it by hand and if it does not lose, they endure enough.
